Youth Development Lead - Middlesbrough

Company:  Prince's Trust

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Closing Date: 23:59 on Sunday 17th October 2021

Salary: £20,300 - £22,000

Location: Middlesbrough - We're only able to consider candidates who can be based in Middlesbrough.

The Prince’s Trust is currently going through an exciting period of development. We have ambitions to grow our offer to young people by providing a blended approach of face-to-face and digital delivery and support. To help us on this journey, we are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our dynamic team!

You’ll be speaking to lots of young people and will feel comfortable with quickly building a great rapport (including putting your camera on when on teams) so that they feel listened to and supported.  You’ll have a strong knowledge of the Trust’s portfolio of programs (we’ll help you with this!), alongside experience of diagnosing, based on the young person’s replies, what support the Trust can offer them to get them started on their journey. Although not essential, having experience in Employment training and Partnership Management would be beneficial.

You’ll also be willing to challenge the process – this role will be key to identifying opportunities that need improvement, as well as making suggestions for solutions based on Young People feedback and your own experience. You’ll want to be part of the solution, knowing that you will be making a positive impact on our Young person’s customer experience.

As one of our Youth Development Leads, you:

  • Engage in challenges with optimism and resilience
  • Are adaptive and flexible, ready to embrace change and innovation
  • Deliver high-quality learning & development. sessions to young people
  • Are passionate about supporting young people to make positive choices
  • Will be the Trust's first point of contact with referral partners and young people, engaging and empowering from the first moment

We work with young people from every background, so we’re passionate about building a diverse workforce that represents the young people we support. We, therefore, welcome applications from everyone who meets the essential criteria for the role. If you think you could do the role, but don’t have all the desirable experience, we would still love for you to apply, as you’ll have the chance to complete a supporting statement to let us know what you would bring to the table, that will help young people on the Explore programme.
