Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

We celebrate our People and our Young People’s different backgrounds, characteristics, ideas and beliefs, and have a number of thriving networks to connect everyone.

We’ve created a culture where balancing your home and work life and working environment contributes positively to your emotional and physical well-being.

All of our networks host a variety of events throughout the year including in-person workshops, Lunch-and-Learns and Awareness Months. They often collaborate to reflect the intersectionality of our staff’s identities, backgrounds, cultures and lived experiences.

Our Networks

All of our networks host a variety of events throughout the year including in-person workshops, Lunch-and-Learns and Awareness Months. They often collaborate to reflect the intersectionality of our staff’s identities, backgrounds, cultures and lived experiences.

PT CAN

PT CAN is the Trust's cultural awareness network. They champion the cultural diversities of The Prince’s Trust community (our staff, volunteers, young people and partners).

A deeper understanding and appreciation of the different cultures and communities which make up The Prince’s Trust enables us to provide an enhanced employee experience and quality of service to the young people we reach.

PT DAWN

PT DAWN is our disability and well-being network and has been set up to promote an understanding of, and share best practices around, disability and well-being at work.

They build a positive, open and supportive network for those with experience of disability or health conditions, to discuss issues relating to disability equality and make it easier to navigate the experience of disability or lived experiences while flourishing at work.

PULSE

PULSE is our LGBTQIA+ network and works across the UK, to ensure we have the best possible environment for colleagues, volunteers and young people from the LGBTQIA+ community.

PULSE has three key streams of work; Programmes & Training so that the Trust provides the right environment for young people, Accreditation to ensure our staff policies and practices are appropriate and Communications and Pride to give us external visibility at Pride events.

PT GEN

PT GEN is our Gender Equality Network that continues to make a fantastic impact to address the challenges that women face such as; eradicating the gender pay gap and enhancing our family leave policy with a substantial increase to both paternity and maternity leave.

Our male colleagues take an active role and are part of the conversation by creating an inclusive organisation and levelling the playing field.
