The Prince’s Trust Scotland is currently going through an exciting period of development and expansion. We have ambitions to grow our offer to young people by providing a blended approach of face-to-face and digital delivery and support. To help us on this journey we are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our dynamic teams to work with young people either directly through one-to-one work or delivery of programmes.

 

We have a permanent role based in the West of Scotland in the following locations:

- Greater Glasgow & Clyde Valley

- South West Scotland: Ayrshires and Dumfries & Galloway

Our Prince’s Trust Youth Development lead roles have a broad focus and we encourage cross working across teams and focus areas. Currently we are looking for Prince’s Trust Youth Development leads that will focus on one of the below areas;

 

Our Explore and Employability Youth Development Leads will focus on supporting young people into employment. You will ideally have a background in personal and social development and employment skills or have the experience or transferrable skills to support cohorts of young people into employment.

 

Our Enterprise Youth Development Leads help young people aged 18-30 to learn about self-employment and to decide whether starting a business is right for them. We ensure young people have the tools and skills they need to launch their businesses through our Explore Enterprise Course and offer mentoring, workshops, 1;1 support and funding to support new entrepreneurs at every stage of their business start-up journey.

 

This role is perfect for you if you have skills and experience in self-employment and are passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.

 

Key parts of this role will include:

  • Creation and delivery of sessions to groups of young people on the Explore and Get Into Programmes, focusing on personal and social development, life skills and employability skills.
  • Management of relationships with our referral and delivery partners, including contracts, payments, detailed delivery plans and quality assessment
  • Partnership and volunteer management: working with our partners to support the delivery of our programmes as well as supporting the volunteers that assist in programme delivery.
  • Delivering workshops and training on entrepreneurship
  • Providing 1-to-1 support directly to our service users
  • Supporting the development of business plans and financial forecasts
  • Working closely with volunteers and partner organisations to support our Young People
  • Working with wider colleagues to achieve a positive outcome for service users
  • Accurately completing paperwork and using our internal customer relationship management software to actively onboard and manage our Young People as well as day-to-day general administration
