Associate Trainer

(relevant video will go here)

This is NAME from LOCATION and they are currently an Associate Trainer.

In their own words, NAME will tell you more about how they help and what they get out of it!

What will you be doing?

You will support the Prince’s Trust Learning team for a minimum period of one year to deliver our in-house portfolio of training to colleagues, volunteers and delivery partners. When appointed, you’ll agree individually with the Learning team how best you can contribute to this role given your knowledge, skills, and experience. The role could cover a wide variety of activities and topics, including exploration of learning needs, training design and development, as well as in-person and online training delivery. This could be across topics such as youth work, communication skills, mental wellbeing and leadership and management.

You will have great presentation and facilitation skills, along with the technical experience needed to run group learning sessions in person or remotely via Teams. You’ll also have experience in training needs analysis, learning design and training delivery.

The type of work you undertake will determine the time commitment. If you’re helping us design and develop content, this is likely to be for a shorter, but more intense period. If you’re delivering training to our staff, volunteers, and delivery partners, then once your initial training is complete, you’re likely to deliver once every 2-3 months. We wouldn’t expect your commitment to exceed 10 hours per month.

Much of our design and development work can be completed remotely. If you’re delivering training, it will depend on whether you’re delivering a virtual session or a face-to-face session. Virtual sessions are delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams, whereas face-to-face sessions could be delivered in any of our centres across the UK.
