Are you a fantastic leader who is passionate about supporting young people?

This is a maternity cover role on a Fixed Term Contract to 30th April 2021

The Prince’s Trust is currently going through an exciting period of development. We have ambitions to grow our offer to young people by providing a blended approach of face-to-face and digital delivery and support. To help us on this journey we are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to lead our dynamic teams to work with young people either directly through 121 work or the delivery of programmes.  We need a fantastic leader to help us achieve our ambitions in the South West.

This role will involve leading a small team of delivery staff across a large geographical area. Our South West area covers Bristol, Plymouth (with office hubs in both of these locations) as well as Devon and Cornwall.  We are passionate about flexible working but it’s worth being aware that although this role will be based in our Bristol Centre, you will be required to regularly travel across the patch to support your team and support the safe management of the Bristol Centre in co-ordination with Delivery Support and other manager functions.

As part of the Leadership Team you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our range of Direct Delivery programmes. Working collaboratively to develop and implement our delivery plan and ensure we meet targets. As a Service Delivery Manager, you must lead the effective service delivery of your team, ensuring that every young person engaged progresses with an appropriate pathway of learning and development and one to one support. You will be a role model for your team, demonstrating best practice in how we work with young people in a safe way to ensure we deliver maximum value for young people and partners.

A background in the youth work would be good, the ability to build relationships great and if you can inspire colleagues would be fantastic. There are stretching targets to achieve across the programmes.

To be successful in the role of Service Delivery Manager, you will be able to engage in challenges with optimism and resilience and be adaptive and flexible – embracing change and innovation. Due to the pandemic and ways of working you must be comfortable both working virtually and communicating on virtual platforms.

If you are up for a challenge and working in a great team, we would love to hear from you.
