Kickstart
The Kickstart Scheme is the UK government’s flagship employability scheme for young people in response to the COVID pandemic and provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16-24-year-olds on Universal Credit.
You will help young people make the most of their Kickstart placement and build the skills and confidence to sustain employment beyond.
Future Workforce Fund (FWF)
Future Workforce Fund (FWF) is a ground-breaking two-year initiative that tests innovative ways of delivering employability support for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET in the Greater Manchester area.
FWF is a £12.2 million project being delivered by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) in collaboration with the Prince’s Trust. It is co-funded by the Department for Education, employers and private sector funders.
Get Started
Covering everything from music to fashion – Get Started will give young people a taste of fun activities. We give 16-25 year olds out of work, education and training, the chance to take part in a week of activities with help from inspirational experts. Working with partners including the Premier League, ASOS and Sony, they will work towards a group challenge while developing your skills and confidence.
Explore
Our Explore programme offers young people a mix of group activities and one-to-one support to develop the skills and confidence they need to move forward. Starting with a five-day Access course, they’ll get the chance to do outdoor adventurous activities, as well as take part in a residential trip. Once the Access course is complete, they can choose from lots of different activities from sports to drama and photography to cooking.
